Services · New & add-on construction
From bare dirt to a striped lot.
Site demolition, grading, utilities, concrete, base rock, paving, striping and signs for new and add-on construction.
Bottom up
How a new lot gets built
Nine steps, in the order we do them. Scroll, and the cross-section builds itself.
- 1
Site demolition
Old pavement, concrete and whatever else is in the way, broken out and hauled off.
- 2
Excavation & grading
The site cut and filled to grade, so water runs where it should.
- 3
Soil stabilization
Weak native soil treated so it can carry the pavement and the traffic on it.
- 4
Underground utilities
Storm drains and underground lines laid before the pavement goes down.
- 5
Curbs, gutters & sidewalks
Concrete curb, gutter and walks that frame the lot and carry the water away.
- 6
Aggregate base rock
Compacted base rock, the layer that makes the asphalt on top last.
- 7
Paving & seal coat
Hot asphalt laid, rolled and sealed.
- 8
Striping
Stalls, arrows, crosswalks, fire lanes and accessible parking, laid out and painted.
- 9
Signage & bumpers
Signs and wheel stops: the last things in before the lot opens.
